iDeal Awards

100_4316I know it’s a bit late, but with all the hype that our culture makes over the Academy Awards this time of year, I figured I would point out some the iDeal board’s favourite highlights of 2008. (anything marked with an * means that we were unable to determine where on the list that item should go, since it was competing with another.)

This has nothing to do with this post, but I have to tell you a conversation I just overheard. Two of our little cousins are here this afternoon, and they asked Lee where he was last night. “At Jacob’s house,” said he, as if there was no other name for it. Then there was a pause and Lee stated, “Jacob has a ton of sisters.” “How many?” said one of the cousins. “Like, about 14!” said Lee. Mama and I were nearly doubled over laughing, and I knew it was too good to not share with y’all. Now you know how kids see your family! 🙂

  • Quote of the Day

“We love the old saints, missionaries, martyrs, and reformers. Our Luthers, Bunyans, Wesleys and Asburys, etc... We will write their biographies, reverence their memories, frame their epitaphs, and build their monuments. We will do anything except imitate them. We cherish the last drop of their blood, but watch carefully over the first drop of our own.”
