a happy sinner’s prayer

Come, Lead our hearts before Thy throne,

To Worship Thee, and Thee alone

Let no more sin our loves distort

May we no more distractions court,

So shall our hearts rejoice in Thee,

Thy presence enter, bold and free.

Jesus, the sorrowing sinner’s friend,

Thyself extol, Thy Spirit send

By precious faith, help us believe,

This wondrous calling we’ve recieved

Lord, show us Thy pure Gospel’s worth

To see the beauty of rebirth.

On weeping nights, our souls are torn,

But Thou hast bought the joyful morn

Lord let us live on what you’ve done,

adore the beauty of the Son

Then will we suffer not defeat,

But continue in communion sweet.

Lord, glorify Thy holy name,

Let every breath salute Thy riegn

Display the virtue of Thy blood,

By drawing weary souls to God

So may we walk in Union sweet

And ever tarry at Thy feet.

  • Quote of the Day

“We love the old saints, missionaries, martyrs, and reformers. Our Luthers, Bunyans, Wesleys and Asburys, etc... We will write their biographies, reverence their memories, frame their epitaphs, and build their monuments. We will do anything except imitate them. We cherish the last drop of their blood, but watch carefully over the first drop of our own.”
