if this doesn’t unsettle us, we’re sick

I realize I’ll receive tons of ridicule for posting this, but I don’t really care.

I have a warning that needs to hang over this: we simply cannot afford to ever be need driven. It’s always looking to Christ: always the holiness of God, to move us as it moved Isaiah. There are so many needs, and if we attempt to meet all of these, we will despair. But we must respond to Christ. We’ve got to lay aside our petty toys, and let Him pour us out like water from a pitcher wherever and however He chooses. We’ve all we need in Him.

Christ’s command is to further the cause of His kingdom in all the world. If you love me you will keep my commandments. Let’s go!

  • Quote of the Day

“We love the old saints, missionaries, martyrs, and reformers. Our Luthers, Bunyans, Wesleys and Asburys, etc... We will write their biographies, reverence their memories, frame their epitaphs, and build their monuments. We will do anything except imitate them. We cherish the last drop of their blood, but watch carefully over the first drop of our own.”
