free indeed

Plenteous grace with Christ is found,

Oh that my soul would seek

Grace doth come where sin abounds,

And pours in greater torrents down,

Measureless and free!

Our old master in thralldom see,

Grace doth hold our soul,

Christ hath set my spirit free,

Sin hath no longer grip on me,

Now unto Christ the whole.

Every sin I’ll ever court,

Lies silent in the grave,

Now hath shame more full import,

For now sin doth our love distort,

From Christ, whom our souls saved.

Brought to the statue of a son,

Let’s live on that today,

To the Father may we run

When we are brought, then will we come,

O God increase our faith.

Lord Jesus you have set me free,

Thus am I free indeed,

Grace daily give me eyes to see,

To run to Christ, that He may meet,

My neverending need.

No more my soul shall e’er reside,

In fearing or despair,

Christ, who saving grace supplied,

Will here below all good provide,

Now, cast on Him thy care

Now Holy Spirit, heavenly Dove,

Come help me while below,

Convince me of my Jesus’ love,

Till on His face I’ll look above,

And no more sinning know.

  • Quote of the Day

“We love the old saints, missionaries, martyrs, and reformers. Our Luthers, Bunyans, Wesleys and Asburys, etc... We will write their biographies, reverence their memories, frame their epitaphs, and build their monuments. We will do anything except imitate them. We cherish the last drop of their blood, but watch carefully over the first drop of our own.”
