my first christmas song

I know it seems I’ve been posting frantically lately, but I think I am attempting to overtake Christmas. I promise to slow down. Later.

“Fear not!” what tidings o’er the fields are sung,
By angel legions shining bright
“Fear not”, the glorious Gospel comes
The Son of God is born this night.
“Fear not” what words to sinner’s hearing
When all such men should be afraid,
Those words sang first in shepherds clearing
Through all the world must quickly spread.
“Fear not” and what great peace bringing
To a race enslaved in sin and pain,
“Fear not” the heavenly choir singing
The Son of God has come to reign.
“Fear not” good will to all men leading,
For God is born the Son of man
Come to save us by His bleeding,
Come to fulfill the Eternal plan.
“Fear not” this news above all other,
Bring highest glory to God’s name
Come to Him through Christ our Brother
His boundless praises ever proclaim.
Come ye sinners, come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

Anyhow, that ‘Star of Bethlehem’ documentary you tweeted about a couple weeks ago? I ain’t seed it, but I kinda had my doubts about it. Check out this review AIG posted on their FB page:

  • Quote of the Day

“We love the old saints, missionaries, martyrs, and reformers. Our Luthers, Bunyans, Wesleys and Asburys, etc... We will write their biographies, reverence their memories, frame their epitaphs, and build their monuments. We will do anything except imitate them. We cherish the last drop of their blood, but watch carefully over the first drop of our own.”
